This vintage locket pendant dates from 1965 and is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold. The locket has attractive bright cut geometric engraving on the front, with a central circle which could be engraved with initials, if desired. The locket was made by the collectable Danish jewellery silversmith and designer Georg Jensen. It opens to reveal two locket compartments, one of which has some backing paper, an inner securing ring and a perspex type protective cover.

The locket measures 2.2cms height (including the integral bale but excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 3.4g

The reverse of the locket is stamped '9' and '375' for 9ct gold, along with a date mark for 1965. There is also a 'GJLD' stamp (for George Jensen Ltd).

This vintage locket is 59 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The locket opens easily and closes securely with a click.
