Vintage (1959) Retractable Sterling silver Tooth Pick

This collectable vintage retractable toothpick is made of fully hallmarked Sterling silver and dates from 1959. The toothpick features engine turned engraving detail on each of its six sides and the retractable sliding mechanism works as it should.

The toothpick has a length of 4.5cms when retracted and 7cms when fully extended (these dimensions exclude the bale and suspension ring).

The toothpick weighs 3.3g

One side of the toothpick is stamped with a lion passant (for Sterling silver) along with hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1959. There is also a maker’s mark of ‘SJR’

This vintage toothpick is 65 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear to the very tip of the ‘pick’. This toothpick has been cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner prior to sale.
