This vintage 3D anchor charm is made of solid (not hollow) hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1947. The charm was made by the prestigious goldsmiths Deakin & Francis. The charm has a good, solid, feel to it and it weighs 1.7g.

The anchor measures 1.7cms height (including the integral bale but excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 1.7g.

The reverse of the charm is stamped ‘9’ and ‘375’ for 9ct gold, along with hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1947. There is a maker’s mark of ‘D&F’ (for Deakin and Francis). The suspension ring is also stamped ‘9CT’

This vintage charm is 78 years old is in very good original condition, with no damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The top suspension ring has been cut (where the charm was removed from a bracelet).
