Substantial Antique Victorian 9ct Gold, Onyx & Diamond Stickpin
This substantial and stylish antique stickpin dates from the late Victorian era and is made of 9ct gold (both the terminal and the pin). The circular terminal is set with an onyx plaque and a central, star set, 'rose cut' diamond. The onyx has a lovely, glossy, surface finish.
The stickpin measures 8cms length and the circular terminal measures 1.7cms diameter.
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the stickpin has been professionally tested and is made of 9ct gold.
This stickpin is around 130-140 years old and is in very good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. The onyx plaque and diamond are in very good condition. The reverse of the terminal shows a little general wear / tarnish and there is a small central area of light discolouration.
