Stylish Antique Art Deco Era 9ct Gold Mounted Nephrite Jade Pendant
This stylish antique pendant dates from around 1920 and is made of natural nephrite jade, with 9ct gold mounts. The gold mounts have attractive engraving detail - a different design on each side.
The pendant measures approximately 4.7cms height (excluding the top suspension ring) and weighs approximately 4.4g.
As is often the case with jewellery of this type there are no hallmarks, but the pendant’s mounts have been professionally tested and have been found to be composed of 9ct gold.
This pendant is around 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. The jade itself is in very good condition with no chips and showing just light general wear. There is a tiny spot of light discolouration on one side of the gold mount (not significant - see photo). The suspension ring shows a little general wear and is not soldered closed.
