Pretty Vintage (1985) 9ct Gold and Moonstone Ring
This pretty vintage ring is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1985. The ring is set with a natural, cabochon cut, moonstone within a ropetwist style mount.
The ring is a UK size O / US size 7
The ring front (i.e. the moonstone including the gold mount) measures 8.5m diameter. The moonstone itself, excluding the mount, measures 5.5mm diameter.
The inside of the ring shank is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that the ring was made in Birmingham in 1985.
This vintage ring is 40 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. The moonstone has no chips or damage but shows light, superficial, general wear and has a semi-matt finish. By design the ring was not made with a thick shank.
