£185.00
sold out

This impressive vintage ring is made of 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1971. The ring is set with a natural, cabochon cut, opal within a ropetwist mount. The opal has great play of colour with flashes of blue, green, yellow and pink in different lights. The ring is offered for sale in very good condition. Please note that in the main photo the background colour is a little greener in shade than in reality; opals are tricky to photograph and the camera picked up a slightly different tone, in reality the body background colour is more of a light bluey grey.

The ring is a UK size L and a half / between a US size 5.5 - 6 and it weighs 2.9g

The ring has a maximum height of 1.7cms. The opal itself (excluding the gold mount) measures 1.4cms x 1cm.

Some of the original hallmarks have worn away but there is a stamp showing that the ring was made in Birmingham in 1971. The ring has been professionally tested and is solid 9ct yellow gold.

This vintage ring is 52 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. The opal is in very good condition with a glossy surface finish.
