Good Size Antique Art Deco Era Polished Agate Pendant with Silver Fittings
This pleasing, tactile, antique pendant dates from around 1920 and is made of polished, teardrop shaped, agate. The agate has lovely, naturally occurring, colour variation and pattern when held up to the light. The pendant is set with silver fittings and is ready to hang on a neck chain.
The pendant has a height / length of 4.1cms (including the integral bale but excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 8.2g
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the pendant’s fittings have been professionally tested and are made of solid silver.
This pendant is around 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. There is no damage to the agate other than a few very small, light, scratch marks to the side of the top drilled hole on one side. The top suspension ring is fully closed.
