Beautiful 9ct Gold and Natural Opal Dropper Earrings
These pretty and colourful earrings are made of hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and are set with natural, cabochon cut, opals. There are a total of nine opals in each earring; the earrings are a mainly blue / green body colour with flashes of brighter green and a little pink in different lights. The opal clusters are suspended from the rest of the earring and move around very nicely when the earrings are worn.
Each earring has a length / drop of 3.8cms from the top of the ear hook to the bottom of the opal cluster. The opal clusters measure 11.5mm diameter.
The earrings have a combined weight of 3.1g
Each earring hooks is fully hallmarked with ‘375’ for 9ct gold, along with hallmarks showing that the earrings were made in Birmingham in 2004. There is also a maker’s mark
These earrings are 20 years old and are in very good condition for their age, with no damage and showing just the lightest signs of age / general wear. The earrings have been carefully cleaned prior to sale; the darker areas that can be seen on the reverse of the central gold section are areas that have been slightly darkened by the light burnishing given to the gold in the making process.
