Antique Victorian / Edwardian Silver Locket With Rose Gold Cartouche
This antique locket dates from the Victorian or Edwardian era and is made of Sterling silver. The front of the locket has an applied rose gold cartouche. Inside there are two locket compartments, one with cardboard backing and both with inner securing rings. The reverse of the locket is plain apart from the remains of the original hallmark.
The locket measures 3cms height (excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 6.5g.
The reverse of the locket has the remains of the original hallmark, with just a partial maker’s mark now visible. The locket has been professionally tested and is made of Sterling silver with an applied rose gold cartouche on the front.

There are no dents to the front of the locket, the reverse has a lightly uneven finish a few very small, light, pinprick indentations. The locket opens easily and pushes closed.
