Antique Georgian 9ct Gold Glazed Locket Brooch / Lace Pin
Decorative, collectable, antique locket brooch / lace pin dating from around 1820-1830. The edge of the brooch has beautiful carved foliate detail and the central locket section has a glass cover. It appears that the central locket section is empty (there is possibly cream fabric or ivory backing).
The brooch measures 1.7cms x 1.4cms and weighs 3.7g
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the brooch has been professionally tested and has been found to be composed of 9ct yellow gold.
This brooch is around 200 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage or dents and showing just light signs of age / general wear. There is no damage or chips to the glass locket cover. The brooch retains its original pin and ‘C’ clasp which are in secure working order.
