The front of the locket has decorative engraved scrolling detail and the name ‘Lily’ has been hand engraved in the central cartouche. The reverse of the locket has engraved with beautiful, sinuous, scrolling detail. The locket opens to reveal two locket compartments which could house photos and / or a lock of hair. Each compartment has its original fabric backing, inner securing ring and Perspex type protective cover.

The locket is of the 9ct gold ‘back and front’ variety, which means that the front and back of the locket are made of 9ct rose gold and the inner frame and securing rings are made of a gold coloured metal (which improves the locket’s strength and durability).

The locket measures 2.6cms diameter and it weighs 5.2g

The reverse of the locket is stamped ‘9CT BACK & FRONT’ (see above for details)

This antique locket pendant is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. The inner compartments retain all their original parts. The locket opens easily on the side and closes securely with a click.
