The brooch measures approximately 3.6cms length and has a maximum height of approximately 4.5mm. The brooch weighs 1.2g

The reverse of the brooch is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold, along with a maker’s mark of ‘BLB’. The pin itself is not gold.

This antique brooch is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. There are no dents to the brooch front. The gold coloured metal pin has tarnished with age. The brooch / pin can be fastened securely but the pin moves around freely in the hinge when the brooch is not fastened closed.
