Antique Edwardian 9ct Gold and Diamond Earrings

£95.00
sold out

These elegant antique earrings date from around 1900 - 1910 and are made of 9ct yellow gold. Each earring is set with a genuine diamond within a flower style mount / setting. The diamonds are ‘rose cut’ and have a mirror-like cut / finish. The earrings have continental fittings which open at the front; the earrings are put on back to front by feeding the hook through the earlobe from the back (see photos below).

The earrings have a drop (from the top of the ear fitting to the base of the earring) of 1.4cms. The diamond set flower sections have a diameter of 6.5mm.

As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the earrings have been professionally tested and are made of 9ct yellow gold.

These earrings are over 100 years old and are in very good condition for their age with no damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. They open as they should and click securely into place when in the ear. The diamonds are ‘rose cut’ and, as such, have slightly irregular facets / finish.
