sold out

This antique brooch is in the popular crescent moon shape and is made of fully hallmarked sterling silver. The brooch dates from 1907 and is set with three jasper panels.

The brooch measures 4cms height (measured tip to tip) and it weighs 2.5g

The reverse is stamped with a lion passant (for sterling silver) and also bears hallmarks showing that the brooch was made in Birmingham in 1907.

This brooch is 116 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. The jasper panels are secure in their mounts but on close inspection it can be seen that the central jasper panel has a very fine hairline crack and there is another fine hairline crack in one of the outer panels at the tip (barely visible to the naked eye). The brooch retains its original ‘C’ clasp and pin.
