This pretty and elegant antique ring dates from around 1910 - 1920 and is made of hallmarked 9ct yellow gold. The ring is set with seven cabochon cut, natural opals, arranged in a flower cluster design. The opals are very vibrant and colourful and are in a closed back ring setting, meaning they show the same colour and vibrancy against any background / skin colour.

The ring is a UK size M and a half / between a US size 6 - 6.5

The cluster of seven opals measures 7mm diameter and the ring weighs 0.9g

The inside of the ring shank is stamped ‘9ct’ for 9ct gold.

This ring is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. Under magnification it can be seen that the opals have very light, superficial, surface wear but this is not visible to the naked eye. The opals have a semi-matt finish.
