Beautiful Edwardian 18ct Gold, Diamond & Turquoise Stickpin With Detachable Head
This beautiful, quality, antique stickpin dates from around 1900 - 1910 and is made of 18ct yellow gold. The terminal is set with a central cabochon cut natural turquoise, which is surrounded by four very bright and sparkly genuine ‘old cut’ diamonds. The diamonds have a combined total value of 0.20 carat (a fifth of a carat). The diamond and turquoise set terminal screws on and off the pin (the stickpin was designed this way so that the terminal could also be fitted to a dress stud fitting).
The stickpin measures 6.8cms length and the terminal measures 11mm height
The stickpin weighs 2.1g
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the stickpin has been professionally tested and is made of solid 18ct yellow gold.
This antique stickpin is over 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. The turquoise and diamonds are all in lovely condition with no chips, scratches or wear. The pin is nice and straight and the terminal screws on and off the pin as it should. On very close inspection it can be seen that there is a tiny ‘dip’ in the gold setting around the turquoise in one area (this is minor, the turquoise is completely secure).
